- Abstract
Background: Lung abscess is defined as a circumscribed area of pus or necrotic debris in lung parenchima. The radiological picture of the cavity with air-fluid level can occur at any site of the lungs. Case: We report a case of lung abscess mimicking cancer. A 37 year-old male patient. Results: Chest X ray showed a pulmonary nodule in the left upper lung area. No evidence of malignancy was observed in histological examination. Conclusion: Bacteria and fungus culture were negative.
