Do medical algorithms always benefit the patient?—a patient perspective.

- Abstract
My angiogram showed further and almost complete resolution of my previous coronary artery plaques, presumably as a result of taking evolucumab.[3] Further imaging revealed a pericarditis and myocarditis - the reason for the unusual ST elevation. However, nobody examined me and nobody took a past medical history, despite my attempts to explain the likelihood of small vessel disease, or perhaps a myocarditis or pericarditis, known to be associated with COVID-19 vaccines.[4] I was simply "an abnormal ECG with chest pain". Incidence, risk factors, natural history, and hypothesised mechanisms of myocarditis and pericarditis following COVID-19 vaccination: living evidence syntheses and review.
