The article discusses the authenticity of archived website-related evidence in America as of December 2013, focusing on various forms of electronic evidence, admissibility requirements in the U.S., and hearsay exceptions. The best evidence rule and witness testimony are addressed, along with the benefits and risks associated with allowing the self-authentication of archived websites. The U.S. Federal Rules of Evidence are mentioned, as well as Internet search engines such as Google.
