- Abstract
The article discusses two research studies done in the field of failure analysis and prevention. The first study, titled "3D Quantitative Analysis of Graphite Morphology in High Strength Cast Iron by High-Energy X-ray Tomography,’’ looks at how to optimize the strength and durability of cast iron. The second study, conducted at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, focuses on the testing of aircraft wings and fuselages for fractures and fatigue cracks.
