- Abstract
The article presents the reports of social discrimination and hate crimes toward the Chinese people and those of Asian descent, which has also affected health care workers and COVID-19 patients. Topics include the solidarity entails people to commit and work together for the common good, and the hate crime is a criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender's bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnicity, gender or gender identity.
