- Abstract
The article reports that the global market for carbon-capture technologies which is worth $88.7 billion in 2007 is expected to increase to over $236.3 billion by 2012, according to a report published by BCC Research. According to the report, postcombustion, the absorption of carbon dioxide from fluegas by solvents has the largest market share, valued at $51.5 billion in 2007 and projected to jump to $107 billion by 2012. BBC says that combustion is currently a $500-million sector that will be worth $2 billion in 2012.
