- Abstract
The article discusses the proposal of the Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) to increase the scope of qualifications for which the BIS can put parties on the entity list. The BIS puts parties on the entity list to prohibit companies and individuals from exporting and re-exporting to them without licenses. The proposal also includes an amendment of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to allow parties on the entity list to request that their listing be removed after following several procedures.
