- Title
ON BUILDINGS, BOOMERS, AND THE 'BURBS.
- Abstract
An interview with author James Kunstler is presented. When asked to describe his vision for a human-scaled society, Kunstler claims that men will have to live a lot more locally and do most things differently and will return to many traditional arrangements. He believes that suburbia as an infrastructure for daily living has no future owing to its dependence on fossil fuels. Baby boomers according to Kunstler only degraded all the standards and norms of behavior to keep our civilization going and to respond to changing circumstances effectively.
