The article focuses on how one English department of Salt Lake Community College used open educational resources and threshold theory to engage locally responsive writing instruction. Topics include the threshold-based curriculum and open educational resources (OERs) that allow students to approach, examine, and practice writing which can be also be accessed easily as they are affordable.
