- Abstract
Casting process was used to create a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol and carboxymethyl cellulose loaded with cadmium oxide nanoparticles. Through the use of several procedures, the physical characterization of the prepared PVA/CMC-CdO films has been accomplished. The structural characterization of the interaction between gold nanoparticles and the PVA/CMC matrix was modified by increasing cadmium oxide content, according to FTIR spectra. Furthermore, an increment in the content of CdO NPs resulted in a further improvement in the thermal stability of polymeric material. With increasing frequency, the values of ε ′ and ε ″ gradually reduced. Due to the interfacial polarization effect on dielectric permittivity, the values of dielectric constant and dielectric loss were decreased. These findings therefore show that PVA/CMC-CdO samples are used in electrical and optoelectronic applications.
