The article offers ideas for concrete training aids and demonstrations in the classroom. It explores several teaching tools that are implemented on reinforced concrete and masonry design including the reinforced "concrete" beam model, one-way slab model, and slab-on-ground model. Physical demonstrations of the behaviors of unreinforced and reinforced mortar beams are suggested for a more effective teaching.
