- Abstract
With the advent of the intelligent industrial revolution, new technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and big data are reshaping all aspects of society, including education and teaching. Educational robots are capable of assuming various roles such as teaching assistants, learning tools and learning partners, and have begun to be applied at all levels of educational practice. In order to explore the application of educational robots in higher medical education and accelerate the improvement of teaching methods and quality, an educational robot was introduced to basic medical experimental teaching and a series of teaching reforms was conducted. A project team of students was organized to develop the functions of course services, giving lectures and answering questions for the robot, and its services were expanded online through WeChat official account. The students highly valued the participation of educational robot in the experimental teaching, and considered that the robots can enliven the classroom atmosphere, efficiently provide learning materials and bring positive influence on their studies. This project was publicized and reported by media and achieved good social response
