- Abstract
The article addresses the issue of clergy burnout in doing their job attending to routine and emergency events alike. Research showed priests, ministers, imams and especially rabbis, suffer from exhaustion from a driven sense of duty to answer calls for help and "boundary issues" from being easily overtaken by urgency of others' needs. Statistics showed a decrease in Catholic clergy as of 2013. Remedies discussed included taking vacations and sabbaticals, exercising and seeking pastimes.
