- Abstract
A literary criticism for the novel "The Crossing" by Cormac McCarthy is presented. It examines the representation of a gray wolf which shows how animals could remove its anthropocentric value systems in literary narratives. It also suggests that its behaviors that confuse human being are critical methods for the animal's agency.
