- Abstract
The article looks at the sexuality and gender identity laws in Asia and the Pacific. It highlights the effort of the Global Commission on HIV and the Law to end police abuses, repeal sodomy offences, and enact anti-discrimination laws and legal recognition of transgender people. It explores police reports concerning police abuses against men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender people as well as cites notable positive developments in sexuality and gender identity laws in 2012-2013.
