- Abstract
The article examines the changes in the shape and size of the optic discs of two patients with suspected glaucoma. An eight-year old boy had a best-corrected visual acuity of 30/20, and ophthalmoscopy revealed a thin temporal rim, lamina dot sign and crescent-shaped temporal peripapillary atrophy in both eyes. Another eight-year old boy had a high cup/disc ratio in his eyes, a BCVA of 20/20, and fundus examination showed a narrowing of his temporal rim. The researchers concluded the association of optic disc changes with the progression of glaucoma.
