- Abstract
This article focuses on a study which examines the effect of the United States Office of Federal Contract Compliance on upgrading the status of minority workers in the U.S. It presents government requirements for a company's affirmative action and employment policies. A comparison between involuntary quotas and voluntary contracts, and its reflection of corporate attitudes in the U.S., is detailed. Finally, the article puts forth various selection criteria used in the awarding of employment contracts.
