- Title
‘Penny-wise, pound-foolish’: The commodification of physiotherapy services in an era of precarious demand.
- Authors

- Abstract
The authors reflect on the commodification of physiotherapy (PT) services. They convey that restrictions in the access to PT services through the process of commodification may yield short-term costs savings, but eventually increased the overall costs to the health care system in the long term. They note that access to PT services encourages self-reported health status (SRHS), while limited access has a negative effect on SRHS.
