- Abstract
This article aims to analyze a company that is a part of the Local Health Productive Arrangement (LHPA) in the city of Pelotas, in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Technological innovation in health has a direct impact on the lives and the well-being of people, and science and technology are important allies for prevention and treatment of diseases. The selected company has been active for more than 35 years in the Brazilian market with national relevance in product development, medical and hospital equipment and appliances. We conducted a case study, by means of a questionnaire, in June 2016, built on the 12 dimensions that make up the Innovation Radar. It was sought to identify how the studied company uses 12 dimensions in the innovation process. The results showed that the company mainly innovated in the offer dimension, releasing ten new products in the last three years. The analysis of innovation in different dimensions demonstrates that a company needs not to be restricted purely to permanent product innovation or to a single dimension, it benefits from continuous improvement, staying on the market longer, contributing to the continuous improvement of its products.
