- Abstract
The article presents a study which assesses the multiple and repeated exposure of farmworkers to pesticide during agricultural season in North Carolina. The study included 196 farmworkers whose samples of urine were tested for 12 pesticide urinary metabolites. Results indicate that 84.2% of farmworkers were detected with acephate and 88.8% with 3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridinol. The study concludes that farmworkers are exposed to different pesticide during agricultural season in North Carolina.
