- Abstract
The article presents a study which focuses on the occupational injuries acquired by nurses' aides and nurses in acute care settings. It explores on the factors associated with the occupational injuries among nursing personnel working in a long-term care settings, and characterizes the injury experienced by them. It also compares the injuries experienced by nursing aides and nurses. Results shows that injury risk in acute care setting was greater for nursing aides than the nurses.
