- Abstract
The article discusses a case of an older man infected with carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter soli producing another metallo-beta-lactamases (MBL) type, Tripoli MBL 2 (TMB-2). Topics discussed include the patient's admission due to intestinal perforation from a traffic accident and treatment provided including ciprofloxacin and piperacillin, resistance of Acinetobacter to piperacillin/tazobactam and carbapenems.
