- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the diagnostic performance of transvaginal ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with regard to the presence, size, and extent of invasive cervical cancer. The study uses patients with early cervical cancer who planned for surgery. Results in the study show that both ultrasound and MRI have sensitivity and specificity, and considers ultrasound as suitable diagnostic method due to its low cost and being a relatively quick procedure.
