- Abstract
The article presents a study which determines if measurement of the thickness of the amniochorionic membranes by high-resolution ultrasound could be a useful marker in predicting preterm delivery. Subjects of the study were one hundred and fifty-eight women with singleton pregnancies at 18-35 gestational weeks enrolled at a referral center for obstetric care. It was found that sonographic measurement of fetal membrane thickness could be helpful in the prediction of preterm delivery.
