- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 71-year-old man with clinically isolated aortitis (CIA) who was treated successfully with methotrexate (MTX) monotherapy. He initially had worsening posterior thoracic pain, with symptoms of malaise and fatigue, and was then diagnosed with CIA. It was found that MTX monotherapy provided safe, rapid and sustained remission of CIA.
