- Abstract
This article aims at discussing the relevance of the mechanism didactic sequence in the process of teaching and learning of how to produce written and oral textual genres with emphasis on the knowledge related to it, especially on formative assessment and regulation. It is a documentary research of two Master's theses developed within the Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Letras, completed in 2018. The theoretical background underlying this work is Socio discursive Interactionism by Bronckart (1999), Dolz et al., (1993/2017); Dolz et al., (2001/2004) Hofstetter and Schneuwly (2009); Vanhulle (2009), in the context of language teaching. As for assessment, Allal's conception is used (1999; 2018; 2021). Based on this theoretical framework, the savoirs pour enseigner regarding the didactic sequence have been analysed focusing on formative assessment and regulation as essential components for learning and development. The analysis has revealed that the teachers make use of diversified knowledge to develop a didactic sequence. At the same time, they present some difficulties to apprehend theoretically the proposal, which implies shortcomings in the development of a didactic sequence and its implementation. Among them, the absence of formative assessment and regulation stand out as a possible indicator of the lack of knowledge on assessment.
