- Abstract
The article discusses the study on the detailed hydraulic simulations for sedimentation in drinking water. It says that numerical modeling means were used to asses the influence of unsteady flows on wall shear stress such as quasi-steady, rigid column (RC) and water hammer model. It tells that due to low critical shear stress for resuspension, sedimentation will not occur in distribution networks and to predict sediment accumulation, stagnation zones and multiple flow direction can be used.
