- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a primiparous bitch which has a history of distention of abdomen engorgement of its mammary glands but show no signs of labor. Results of radiological examination shows that it has a single foetus with anterior presentation and dorsopubic position. The dog was given oxytocin to initiate uterine contractions, but show no signs of labour, thus its vaginal canal was lubricated with petroleum jelly and whelping forceps was introduced.
