- Abstract
The article reports on post cholecystectomy gossypiboma or textiloma, the retained foreign body in a surgical patient, that mimicked gallbladder (GB) carcinoma. The diagnosis of GB fossa in a 35-year-old woman with a 3-month history of abdominal pain which suggested a GB mass is discussed. The finding of a retained surgical gauze swab surrounded by foreign-body reaction is discussed.
