Davis, Natalie Zemon
- Abstract
In this article the author argues that historians should be more focused on decentralizing the way they write about history. She compares the book "Buch der Beispiele" by Ibn Khaldun to "Buch von der Stadt der Frauen" by Christine de Pizan, discusses how historians described the European colonial expansion, the criminal justice laws of slavery, and the Norse religion, and argues that geography provides a good reason to move away from centralized historical narratives of world and global history.
