The article examines the legislative framework of the U.S. and Australia related to consumer credit grant. Topics discussed include comparison of Australian and American regulation concerning to authorize use of, or increase the credit limit of credit cards; information on regulatory framework to control payday loans; provisions of several acts related to lending such as Dodd-Frank Act, the Australian National Consumer Credit Act and Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act.
