- Abstract
The article presents the study which analyzed the expression and immunolocalisation of Taena (T.) pisiformis fatty acid-binding protein (TpFABP) as a candidate antigen for the serodiagnosis of cysticercosis in rabbits. The larval stage of the tapeworm T. pisiformis, also called Cysticercus pisiformis, causes cysticercosis. Based on the study, the dot enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (dot-ELISA) based on recombinant TpFABP (rTpFABP) could be effective in detecting infection in rabbits.
