- Abstract
An essay is presented which discusses the international involvement in the Greece's Civil War of 1944 through 1949, with a particular focus on the Eastern European communist countries and the Soviet Union's involvement in the conflict. Communist countries' assistance to the Greek Communist Party (KKE) during the Civil War is discussed. The role that the international Communist Information Bureau, or Cominform, played in aiding communist insurgents during the Greek Civil War is also discussed.
