- Abstract
The complex habitats in the karst area result in a high degree of soil heterogeneity in the area. The vegetation forms certain morphological and physiological structural characteristics to adapt to the special environment, resulting in a higher diversity of functional traits. At the same time, vegetation improves the physical and chemical structure characteristics of the soil through a series of life activities. The interaction between plants and soil plays an important role in studying the structure and function of ecosystems and their response to global climate change. This article summarizes the characteristics of soil heterogeneity in karst areas, outlines the response of plant functional traits to heterogeneous soil and the feedback process of plants to soil, reveals the plant-soil coupling mechanism in the karst ecosystem, and based on the current research status in this field The content and direction of the future research are prospected, hoping to provide a scientific reference for maintaining the structural and functional stability of the fragile karst ecosystem.
