- Abstract
The technological basis for fast information exchange, centralized data storage, combining hardware infrastructure and collaboration of professionals is required to perform distributed joint scientific research. Remote participation platforms widely used in the largest international scientific fusion projects (ITER, JET, DIII-D, EUROFusion, etc.) represent an example of this. The paper presents the results of the implementation of Russian project FusionSpace.Ru—IT infrastructure for performing joint experiments on Russian Fusion Facilities with remote participation, united space for fusion science networking in Russia. The article refers to international experience of territorially distributed experiment systems design, including remote participation and experimentation centers (Japan Remote Experimentation Center, Russian Remote Participation Center). It is shown that foreign approaches and best practices of data handling applied in FusionSpace.RU ensure the advanced design of the platform for domestic and international joint fusion research.
