The article investigates a triptych painted in Bruges, Belgium in 1480 by Hans Memling, German painter who moved to Flanders and worked in the tradition of early Netherlandish painting. A description of the sculpted and architectural forms represented on the painted panels is presented. The possible sources of influence of Memling are also mentioned.
