Držaić, Karlo
- Abstract
The article focuses on the resurgence of anti-Semitism in Croatia during the early 1990s. It discusses the normalization of anti-Semitic narratives intertwined with nationalist radicalization, revisionism, denial of the Holocaust, and the belief in a global Jewish conspiracy. It mentions Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) led by Franjo Tuđman played a significant role in affirming these positions, normalizing the NDH (Independent State of Croatia), and promoting revisionist tendencies, which gradually led to the acceptance of anti-Semitic rhetoric within Croatian society and political circles.
