- Abstract
The article profiles art historian, museum director and professor Beaumont Newhall. Newhall was born on June 22, 1908 in Massachusetts, and attended Harvard University and Courtauld Institute of Art of the University of London. He has organized traveling photography exhibitions in Germany and New York, and worked as a curator at George Eastman House. Newhall conducted lectures and seminars on photography being an art history professor at the University of New Mexico. Furthermore, he was an author of scientific articles such as "The Daguerreotype in America" and "Airborne Camera."
