- Abstract
The article examines the Arkansas estate laws regarding homestead exemptions and beneficiary designations in trusts. The Arkansas Supreme Court's decision to allow a beneficiary of a revocable trust to claim a homestead exemption in the Fitton v. Bank of Little Rock case is discussed. The ramifications of the Fitton decision with regards to a creditor's ability to attach an interest to a principal residence is also mentioned.
