The article focuses on the vague requirements of the patent licensing system overseen by standard-setting organization (SSO) lead to the consistent misvaluing of standard-essential patent (SEP) with contract negotiations. It mentions that European Telecommunications Standards Institute to fulfill the fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) requirements. It also mentions that need to improve the current state of FRAND-based law by implementing patent-valuation.
