- Abstract
The study of the adsorption and desorption of pyrazone on various types of soil was carried out by means of a labelled molecule (5-amino-4-chloro 14C-l' 2-phenylpyridazin 3(2H)-one) using an agitation method. The adsorption and desorption isotherms corresponding to Freundlich's equation x/m = K.C. 1/n were determined; analysis of these showed that adsorption of pyrazone is a reversible phenomenon; however desorption takes place more slowly than adsorption. Statistical analysis of the results obtained showed that a positive and highly significant correlation (r > 0.90) existed between the quantity of pyrazone adsorbed and the amount of organic matter in the soils.
