Probiotics put to the test at Swansea University.
Abstract
The article reports that a trial is being run by the Swansea University in Swansea, Wales to see if the probiotics found in yoghurts can prevent Clostridium difficile infection. The trial costs £1.2 million and will take place at Singleton and Morriston hospitals in Swansea, and the Darlington Memorial Hospital, University Hospital of North Durham and Bishop Auckland General Hospital in County Durham. The trial is being led by Steve Allen.
