- Abstract
The article focuses on the modification of the mechanical and processing performances of polypropylene (PP) using ultrafine full-vulcanized polybutadiene rubber (UFBR) in particle sizes of 50-100 nanometers (nm). Upon investigation, it has been found that PP/UFBR binary blends show rheological behaviors of a branched PP-like only at high UFBR content. On the other hand, the ternary blends using PP-g-maleic anhydride as compatibilizer exhibit rheological characteristics of highly branched PP even at low UFBR content.
