Abstract
The article discusses the drawloom technique of pattern weaving used in Late Antiquity. It discusses silk weaving, which was not possible prior to the drawloom technique, and contrasts silk textiles with wool textiles. The article also details the structures and configurations of the surviving drawloom textiles from Late Antiquity. Pictures of various drawloom textiles are presented along with details of their warp and weft, their dimensions, and information on their current owners and dates of acquisition.
