In this article the authors discuss the aspects of cell biology research. They argue that HeLa cells or other cancer cell lines are not adequate to give information on cell physiology and cell differences, and propose use of stem cells to study cellular diversity. They discuss the significance of understanding molecular basis of cell properties in medical sciences, and scope of stem-cell biology.
