- Abstract
The article presents a study on tributyltin (TBT) chloride's acute toxicity to the larvae and embryos of bivalve mollusks such as Mercenaria mercenaria and Crassostrea virginica. The study gathered clams from Biosphere Inc. and York River, Virginia, and conducted various experiments including static replacement procedure, embryo tests, and measuring of water's dissolved oxygen, salinity, and temperature. Results show that that bivalve mollusks' larvae and embryos have similar TBT sensitivity.
