- Abstract
This study aimed to explore the process of building the owner's trust at both the corporate and project team levels through the case study. The results show that owner's trust at the project team level is gradually built during the construction process, which requires the contractor having good working ability, working attitude, honest, trustworthy character and good cooperation spirit. Owner's trust at the corporate level is built through positive contents in the owner's work reports for contractors. Besides, owner's trust at the corporate level is substantially influenced by owner's trust at the project team level, but owner's trust at the project team level is seldom influenced by owner's trust at the corporate level. The results offer new insights into understanding how to build multilevel owner's trust, and also provides a guide for the contractor to deeply understand the process of building the owner's trust.
