- Abstract
The article reports on the study of the invariant natural killer (iNKT) cells activation causing inflammatory disease like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in humans. The study reveals that respiratory disease depended on pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-13 (IL-13) was the source of lung machrophages wherein iNKT cells activated the macrophages production. The study supplied information on molecular phenotype for the inflammatory disease of lungs and some organs.
