The article presents information on study that showed that isolated nuclei can respond to mechanical tension. It has been concluded that the structure of the linker of nucleoskeleton and cytoskeleton (LINC) complex as well as nucleoskeleton organization are the main factors in mechanical stress transmission to the nucleus.
