- Abstract
There are obvious similarities in the implementation and protection of teacher discipline in the United Kingdom and the United States. In terms of the implementation of teacher discipline, both countries have clarified the legality of teacher discipline, and stipulated the measures and procedures for the implementation of teacher discipline; in terms of the protection of teacher discipline, both countries have laid emphasis on the leading role of teachers, and strengthened the cooperation with parents and other institutions to promote the effective implementation of teacher discipline. There are some differences between the United Kingdom and the United States in the implemnetation of teacher discipline. Compared with the United Kingdom, the United States pays more attention to the training of teachers in school behavior policy, the cooperative institutions for teacher discipline are more diverse, and some states allow teachers to carry out reasonable corporal punishment. In order to promote the effective implementation of teacher discipline in China, the experience of the United Kingdom and the United States should be drawn on to establish the organizations of teacher discipline, improve the professionalized implementation of teacher discipline, and strengthen the communication between teachers and parents.
